Acclaimed Founder of Studio T Arts and Entertainment, Tamaira “Miss Tee” Sandifer, has been awarded a Gold Stevie® Award for Female Executive of the Year (Non-Profit) at the 21st annual Stevie Awards for Women in Business.

The Stevie Awards for Women in Business honor the achievements of women executives, entrepreneurs, employees, and the companies they lead worldwide. The Stevie Award has been hailed as the world’s premier business award. Nicknamed the Stevies for the Greek word for “crowned,” the awards were presented to winners last night during a gala event at the Marriott Marquis Hotel in New York City, attended by nominees and their guests and broadcast live via Vimeo.

Studio T Arts & Entertainment received a Silver Stevie® Award in the prestigious Organization of the Year (Non-Profit) category.

This year, more than 1,500 entries from organizations and individuals in 36 nations and territories were submitted across over 100 categories, including Executive of the Year, Entrepreneur of the Year, Company of the Year, Startup of the Year, Women Helping Women, and Women-Run Workplace of the Year. Studio T Arts won in the Organization of the Year category for Non-Profit organizations due to its outstanding contributions to arts education and community impact.

Sacramento-based youth advocate, philanthropist and Studio T Arts & Entertainment Founder Tamaira 'Miss Tee' Sandifer has been recognized by Forbes Magazine among the inaugural For(bes) The Culture 50 Champions list "Introducing the Black and Brown leaders making the most impact through their capital, creativity, connections and commitment."

According to Forbes, investing in the success of others is a value that’s deeply rooted in Black culture and tradition, whether it’s an investment of finances or a donation of talent and time. The editors further note that whether it’s being intentional about the hiring process, investment and mentorship practices, driving discussions around access or effecting change through advocacy — from Colin Kaepernick and Issa Rae to Dr. Kizzmekia Corbett, Dwayne Wade, Angel Rich and Amanda Gorman -- these exceptional leaders all share "the unique experience of being Black or Brown, empowered and ready to champion the narrative" around building and sustaining strong communities of color.

Youth Advocate and Non-Profit Founder Tamaira “Miss Tee” Sandifer Named Woman of The Year by Assembly Member Kevin McCarty and The California Legislative Women's Caucus

Sacramento Assemblymember (District 5) Kevin McCarty has named Tamaira “Miss Tee” Sandifer, Youth Advocate and Founder of Studio T Arts & Entertainment for its 5th District Woman of the Year Award for 2022. The Award, sponsored and organized by the California Legislative Women’s Caucus in recognition of Women’s History Month, names honorees from each Senate and Assembly district in celebration of the history-making contributions to society made by remarkable women throughout California.

Tamaira 'Miss Tee' Sandifer is being acknowledged by McCarty for her success in developing youth programs that provide critical creative and life skills through exposure to the arts. Her goal is to ultimately “train youth to use the arts as an entrepreneurial tool to generate income, creativity and healing.”
